[blfs-support] Where are RPC headers installed from?

Hello co-listers:

I’m trying to build the old CDE (Common Desktop Environment) on BLFS 8.1.

The build process fails while seeking the RPC headers.

Until LFS 7.4 the RPC headers were installed by hand with “cp”-ing at the end of Glibc LFS-Chapter 6 installation.

On 2014-02-14 thanks to Chris Staub (ticket #3495), the installation of them was changed by the more elegant option “—enable-obsolete-rpc” on Glibc “configure” command (LFS 7.5 to 8.0)

LFS 8.1 don’t include the installation of them (¿Perhaps at changelog entry on 2017-08-16 " [bdubbs] - Remove unneeded options from glibc.”?).

BLFS 7.4 libtirpc installation got them by ftp://anduin.linuxfromscratch.org/other/rpcnis-headers.tar.bz2 <ftp://anduin.linuxfromscratch.org/other/rpcnis-headers.tar.bz2> patch (missing now).

BLFS 7.5 to 8.1 libtirpc installation don’t worry of them.

Are RPC headers installed now in LFS/BLFS? When? Where from? Are they still in glibc tarball?

Thanks in advance.

At least some of them come from libtirpc. If that doesn't provide
the headers you need, probably rpcsvc-proto.

And sorry for the garbage in the quote - I now attempt to render
html because of some other lists, but unicode symbols can get
trashed, and when I reply to multipart-mixed the html part is
chosen.
